Visit to Brynteg Nursery

On a rainy Wednesday morning Mrs Tingay and Mr Pippen escorted the Abersychan Wind Ensemble down to Brynteg Nursery where we were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff and pupils. The group played a selection of pieces for the children such as “Bob the Builder” and “Wallace and Gromit” and introduced the children to some of the instruments in the band. Children were dancing and clapping and filled with excitement. Brynteg Nursery sent this message the following day:

‘As you are probably aware your musician’s visited my “special little place.” this morning, I was speechless (for once). Your children brightened a dull, rainy morning for pupils and staff.   They presented themselves in a truly, exceptional manner, their talents and behaviour were a credit your School.  Our children were enthralled and it was wonderful to observe the faces of our more disadvantaged pupils light up with enjoyment.’ – Mrs Taylor.

This was a great opportunity for Abersychan School to share their talents with the local community. Thank you to Dr Golding for arranging the excursion and well done Abersychan Wind Band!
